The engagement of Miss Angelique Renee Ortego to Mr. James Malcolm Litsey II, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Terry Emery of Hot Springs, Arkansas, and James Malcolm Litsey of Kentwood, has been announced by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gary J. Ortego of Ville Platte.

The couple will exchange wedding vows Saturday, April 10, 2010, during a 6 p.m. ceremony at Broadmoor Baptist Church in Baton Rouge.

Miss Ortego, whose mother is the former Carlene Fontenot of Ville Platte, is the granddaughter of Adeline F. Fontenot, the late Kage B. Fontenot, the late Annie J. Ortego and the late Edgar Ortego.

A 2002 graduate of Westminster Christian Academy, she received a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from LSU in 2006, and a master’s degree in exercise science from Southeastern Louisiana University in 2008. She is currently employed as an exercise physiologist with Our Lady of the Lake’s Cardiac Rehabilitation Center in Baton Rouge.

Mr. Litsey’s mother is the former Beverly Mills of Corbin, Kentucky. He is the grandson of Mary Parker of Slidell.

A 2001 graduate of Salmen High School in Slidell, he received a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from LSU in 2006 and a master’s degree in occupational therapy from the University of Alabama in 2009. He is currently employed as an occupational therapist with the NeuroMedical Center in Baton Rouge.
