Mamou arrests four in separate burglaries

MAMOU - The Mamou Police Department has been busy investigating burglaries, noting several theft-related arrests recently. Jack

Jacob Jack, 17, 313 Elm St., Mamou, was charged with theft after allegedly stealing a weed eater and lawn mower from a residence in the Town of Mamou.

Detective Caleb Semien said the lawn mower was recovered from Mom’s Flea Market, which led authorities to Jack.

Robert

Adrien L. Robert, 18, 221 Railroad Ave., Mamou, was charged with simple burglary.

Semien said Robert allegedly attempted to break into a residence on Third Street in Mamou. He added witnesses identified the suspect and Robert was arrested and charged.

Freeman, Forman and Jack

Nicholas O. Freeman, 17, 816 Ninth St., Mamou, was charged with simple burglary; Adam Forman, no age or address given, was charged with simple burglary; and Clifton Jack, 24, 307 Point St., Mamou, was charged with illegal possession of stolen goods.

Semien stated a resident on Seventh Street in Mamou reported her home had been burglarized. A brief investigation led officer to the three suspects and the recovery of a laptop that was stolen in the theft.
