Principals attending a baby shower held in honor of Kisha K. Bruner, bride of Jesse Bruner, on January 17 in Lafayette were, from left, Opal Leleux, Donna Hanks, Kelly Stelly, honoree, Tara Kelehan, Dana Kelehan and Angel Kelehan.
The mother-to-be is the daughter of Derek Kelehan of Lafayette and Darlene Garza of Port Arthur, Texas, while the expectant father is the son of Dennis and Kim Bruner of Magnolia, Texas.
The 11 a.m. social was held on January 17th in Lafayette. Hosting the event were Tara Kelehan, Kelly Stelly, Donna Hanks, Dana Kelehan, Opal Leleux and Angel Kelehan.
The honoree was attired in a light pink shirt paired with khaki dress slacks. She was presented with a corsage of white baby roses with a pink rattle and bottle accented with pink ribbon.
The Lafayette location was decorated with precious “Baby girl” themed accessories incorporating pink strollers, etc.
A delicious meal of jambalaya, cooked by the honoree’s uncle, Donald Kelehan, was prepared to accommodate approximately 25 guests along with various finger foods and cake.
Honored as the special guest of the day was Lydia Kelehan, the maternal grandmother of the mother-to-be.
Out-of-town guests traveled from Port Arthur, Houston and Magnolia, Texas.
The couple proudly awaits the arrival of their new little bundle of joy on March 25, 2009. The baby will be the couple’s first addition to their family.
