This fall, Community Foundation will publish the first-ever Giving Back catalog for Acadiana. Modeled after an idea that has proved successful for a couple of years in the Maryland/Washington, D.C. area, local nonprofit organizations will be asked to identify two needs (and associate a dollar value with them).
CFA will compile and distribute a catalog of those needs to philanthropists in the Acadiana region.
This project mirrors the organization’s vision, to match donors with needs in the parishes it serves.
Linda Dautreuil, Donor Services for Community Foundation of Acadiana, stated, “We are confident that this catalog will help transform people’s giving this year. Our goal is two fold – to introduce people to organizations they may not know about and to help nonprofits meet their respective missions. We believe that the positive impact of this catalog for Acadiana will be far-reaching.”
Community Foundation of Acadiana is a tax-exempt, non-profit, non-sectarian public foundation that provides individuals and families, corporations, other non-profits (including churches and schools) and particular communities/parishes a visionary approach to philanthropy.
The Foundation is the premier charitable organization in Acadiana, primarily servicing the eight-parish area including Acadia, Evangeline, Iberia, Lafayette, St. Landry, St. Martin, St. Mary and Vermilion parishes.
