THELMA LAHAYE

February 7, 1917 - August 16, 2012

MAMOU - Funeral services will be held for Thelma LaHaye, 95, of Vidrine, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Mamou at 10 a.m., Monday, August 20. Burial will follow in the New St. Ann’s Mausoleum.

A loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and friend, Ms. LaHaye died Thursday, August 16, 2012, at her residence.

Survivors include six daughters, Ouida L. Robert and Carla L. Duhon and her husband, Trey, all of Lafayette, and Brenda Vidrine, Faye Parrott and her husband, Dickie, Gayle Fontenot and her husband, Carl, and Katy Marcantel and her husband, Bob, all of Vidrine; 26 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elvin LaHaye: her parents, Pierre and Anna Guillory; two brothers, Felin Guillory and Lennis Guillory; one sister, Effie Dugas; one grandson, Bradley Parrott; and one son-in-law, Paul Robert.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Mamou today, August 19, from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. and again on Monday, August 20, from 8 a.m. until time of service. A Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. this evening.

Father Mark Melancon will officiate.
