Mamou Police report nine arrests

MAMOU - The Mamou Police Department reported they made nine arrests recently.

The following persons were charged:

•Jason Richard, 40, 4254 Fourth St., Mamou, was charged July 16, with theft. Richard was released from jail.

•Melanie Star Avery, 50, 716 Third St., Mamou, was charged July 18, with forging (20 counts). Avery was transferred to the Evangeline Parish Jail.

•Latasha Perron, 40, 1010 Main St., Mamou, was charged July 19, with remaining after being forbidden and battery on an officer. Perron was released from jail.

•Tyler James Fontenot, age unavailable, 1814 Rodnis Rd., Mamou, was charged July 20, with possession of stolen property. Fontenot was released from jail.

•Dustin Sidwell, 26, 1100 Elm St., #156, Mamou was charged July 20, with disturbing the peace. Sidwell bonded out of jail the same day.

•Randy Jack, 39, 409 Elm St., Mamou, was charged July 21, with simple battery. Jack was released from jail.

•Darrell Jack, 41, 200 Pine St., Mamou, was charged July 21, with simple battery. Jack bonded out of jail the same day.

•Jonathan Michael Durgin, 1216 Ninth St., Mamou, was charged July 21, with theft by shoplifting. Durgin bonded out of jail the same day.

•Shamie Menard, 21, address unknown, was charged July 22, with simple battery. Menard remained in jail at press time.
