The Apostle Paul, with all the trials and persecutions he went through, knew the meaning of a Christ-centered life. It could enable him to write, “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.” (Philippians 4:13) Paul could look above the fear and the situation for his strength, he realized, came from the Lord.
If only you and I could learn the truth of that, then the scripture found in 1 John 4;4, “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world,” would help us to stand during times of adversity and be strong.
The key to overcoming fear in your life, whatever it may be, is to shift the focus from yourself to Christ, for Christ tells us that He will live His life for us. He will fight our battles for us. The word of God says, “...If God be for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31)
