Three new young ladies were chosen to represent the City of Ville Platte during the Miss Ville Platte Pageant held March 25, at the Northside Civic Center.

Chosen as Jr. Miss Ville Platte was Magen Gabrielle Ardoin, the 13-year-old daughter of Neal and Bridget Ardoin of Ville Platte. She currently attends Sacred Heart Junior High. The queen’s court was rounded out by Kamryn Faith Deshotels, the 13-year-old daughter of Josh and Robin Deshotels of Ville Platte, first runner-up; Brianna Leah Naquin, the 13-year-old daughter of Sonya Christopher and Terry Naquin, of Mamou, second runner-up; and Katelyn Renee Miller, the 12-year-old daughter of Stephanie and Jerry Thomas, third runner-up.

The Teen Miss Ville Platte title was awarded to Montrell Reshawn Thomas, the 16-year-old daughter of Desmond and Rebecca Thomas of Ville Platte. She currently attends Ville Platte High School. Emily Lynn Vidrine, the 15-year-old daughter of Wayne and Jenny Vidrine, was named first runner-up to the new queen. Vidrine also was named People’s Choice winner in the audience voting poll.

Lanie Brooke Aymond, the 17-year-old daughter of Stacey and Joe Aymond of Ville Platte, captured the title of Miss Ville Platte. She currently attends Ville Platte High School. The queen’s court was rounded out by Brianna Nicole Atchison, 17-year-old daughter of Chad and Denise Atchison and Marcus and Amy Bergeron, first runner-up; Jennifer Lynn Brown, the 17-year-old daughter of Ernest and Shountinez Brown, second runner-up; and McKenzie Ann LaCombe, the 17-year-old daughter of Julie Reed and Brian LaCombe, third runner-up.
