The SHHS administration was not reachable at press time. There has been no indication yet as to who will be the new football coach or if a search has begun for the 2012 season.
“I regret the circumstances, but influences external of our athletic programs have made the situation untenable,” Williams stated. “I enjoyed working with many of the people and the young athletes of Sacred Heart, but unfortunately I will be returning back home to the Baton Rouge area. I would like to thank those who did come out and support us over the last few months on the baseball field and the football workouts.”
In football, Williams was the defensive coordinator and helped to get the Trojans to the Class 1A playoffs.
In baseball, the Trojans won some big games this year and competed in the toughest district in Class 1A. The Trojans made it to the second round of the playoffs before falling to Country Day. According to Williams, the Trojans were working on a summer league for the baseball team.
