The engagement of Miss Emily Gail LeBas to Mr. Robert Cody Ortego, the son of Lynn and Sue Ortego of Ville Platte, has been announced by her parents, Henry LeBas of Lafayette and Mark and Mitzi Jenkins of Ville Platte.

The couple will exchange wedding vows Friday, April 15, 2011, during a 6:30 p.m. ceremony at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ville Platte.

Miss LeBas, whose mother is the former Mitzi Bourque of Ville Platte, is the granddaughter of Cecil and Janet LeBas of Ville Platte and the late Frank and Gloria Bourque.

A 2007 graduate of St. Thomas More High School in Lafayette, she is currently pursuing a degree in elementary education at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

Mr. Ortego’s mother is the former Sue Bolton of Ville Platte. He is the grandson of Gerald and Lou Ann Ortego and Robert and Beryl Bolton, all of Ville Platte.

A 2004 graduate of Sacred Heart High School in Ville Platte, he is currently employed with Cabot.
