The bride is the daughter of John and Alice Thompson of Kingwood, Texas. The groom is the son of Gary and Robin Chapman of Kingwood, Texas.
The church was beautifully decorated with white baskets filled with blue hydrangea, white lisianthus and burgundy safari sunset flowers placed on the altar. The pews were decorated with large white bows accented with silver trim.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride was radiant in her elegant, ivory-colored, fit and flare gown of satin. The gown featured a V-neckline and was embellished with silver beaded bands below the bustline and at the drop waisteline. The skirt fell into three tiers and a court train. The bride wore a finger-tip-length veil accented with silver embroidery and pearls and a scalloped edging. The veil was a gift from her godmother, Myra Buller.
The bride carried a hand-tied, round bouquet of burgundy roses, white lisianthus, safari sunset and succulents. The handle was wrapped with the bride’s crystal rosary on a white background.
Kayla Wienke of Denton, Texas, friend of the bride, served as maid of honor for the special occasion. She wore a Malibu blue-colored, summery, knee-length cotton dress accented with a V-neckline and pleated skirt. She wore silver sandals and blue crystal beaded hoop earrings and carried a bouquet of white roses with burgundy tips and white lisianthus, alstromeria with burgundy dots accented with a sprinkling of crystal beads.
Bridesmaids were Hillary Kowaleski of Las Veges, Nevada, Jennifer Lockhart of Starkville, Mississippi, and Stacy McCool of Houston, Texas, all friends of the bride; and Amanda Chapman of Dallas, Texas, sister of the groom. They were attired identically to the maid of honor.
Kirk Geohegan of Houston, Texas, served as best man for the afternoon ceremony.
Groomsmen were Paul Blahut of Rockwall, Texas, Christian Garza of Houston, Texas, Matt Tredinnick of Monterey, California, and Matt Abbott of Austin, Texas, all friends of the groom.
Ushers were Jim Sizemore, cousin of the groom; and Robert and David Thompson, brothers of the bride.
Music for the ceremony was provided by organist Jenny Heyl and soloist Kim Huseman.
Lectors were Dr. William Buller, grandfather of the bride; and Kim Caleon and Shannon Dietz, friends of the couple.
Gift bearers were Myra Buller and Bill Buller, godparents of the bride; and Nancy Sizemore and Richard Weeks, Godparents of the groom.
Robin Chapman, mother of the groom, served as eucharistic minster.
Michael Applegate, friend of the couple, served as altar server.
Program attendants were Sarah and Amanda McGee, cousins of the bride.
A reception followed at the Donatello Ballroom of the Hilton, Houston North Hotel. Pianist Scott Graham entertained guests in the pre-reception area of the Hilton. Decorations included photos of the couple, candles and succulents, the bride’s favorite flower. The focal point was a large Texas A&M ice sculpture. The Donatello Ballroom created a fairy tale atmosphere with three large chandeliers and an inviting dance floor. Joey K of DJ Bros out of Humble, Texas, provided music and lighting. Decorations included various shades of marine blue and starfish to reflect the bride’s love of marine biology.
Following a wedding trip to Las Vegas, Nevada, the couple has made their home in Atlanta, Georgia.
