Funeral services will be held for Mary Ezola Lafleur, 87, of Ville Platte, at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church in Ville Platte at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 16. Burial will follow in the Ninth Baptist Church Cemetery.

Ms. Lafleur died Friday, June 8, 2012, at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Ville Platte.

Survivors include five daughters, Dorthy M. Lafleur of Ville Platte, Merline Anderson and Janice Lafleur, both of Baton Rouge, Judy Ann Lafleur of Pearland, Texas, and Sandra Lafleur of Houston, Texas; two adopted daughters, Letecia Green and Shontes Shivers; four sons, Whitney Lafleur, Venton Lafleur and Clemon Lafleur, all of Houston, Texas, and Ted M. Lafleur of Ville Platte; 16 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charlie Richard; her mother, Ezola Richard; four sisters, Gussie Tezeno, Lillian Staff, Rosella Parish and Beatrice Doucet; and three brothers, Hillery Richard, Houston Richard and Charlie Richard Jr.

Rev. Eradley Ben Sr. will officiate.

Owens-Thomas Funeral Home of Ville Platte will be in charge of arrangements.
