MAMOU - Funeral services were held for Jerry Wayne Fontenot, 64, of Reddell, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ville Platte at 2 p.m., Tuesday, August 17. Burial followed in the St. Ann’s Cemetery in Mamou.
Mr. Fontenot died Sunday, August 15, 2010, at his residence.
Survivors include his fiance’, Faye Landreneau of Ville Platte; his mother, Ollie Mae Fontenot of Ville Platte; one son, Shawn Wayne Fontenot of Ville Platte; two step-sons, Chad Arnaud of Ville Platte and Mike Landreneau of Vidrine; one step-daughter, Shannon Chapman of Reddell; one brother, Mitch Pitre of Grand Prairie; four sisters, Elaine Fontenot of Ville Platte, Rita Faye Lasseigne of Lafayette, Emma Jane Fontenot of Belaire Cove and Cynthia Joubert of Plaisance; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Hosea Roy Fontenot.
Father Gene Tremie officiated.
