Aromatherapy has become widely recognized as beneficial in a variety of ways. Homeopathic in nature, it is closely aligned to flower essence therapy, which also uses the plant’s own natural properties to affect the human body in a positive way. Dr. Edward Bach was the first person to study the healing properties of flowers scientifically and coin the phrase “flower essence” in 1928. He discovered each flower contains the plant’s life force and carries genetic energy for reproduction. He discovered they have a variety of healing qualities. He developed a total of 38 remedies, which are still used today. Every flower has several different healing qualities. Flower remedies are tasteless and odorless and are administered under the tongue with a dropper, used in bath water, diffused in a room or added to lotions. Flower essences have been found to cultivate good health and combat negative thoughts, but are gentle enough for pets and children to use.
