February 14, 1917 - July 25, 2012

Funeral services were held for Dudlis “Papa” Hebert, 95, of Ville Platte, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ville Platte at 2:30 p.m., Friday, July 27. Burial followed in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

A loving father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather and friend, Mr. Hebert died Wednesday, July 25, 2012, at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Ville Platte. He was retired from the City of Ville Platte and loved French music and fishing.

Survivors include one daughter, Diane Guillory of Ville Platte; one brother, Leewood Hebert of Houma; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Adenese Hebert; his parents, Paul and Clarice Deshotel Hebert; two brothers, George and Eddie Hebert; and three sisters, Lorita Soileau, Eunice Deshotel and Laura Fontenot.

Father Garrett McIntyre officiated.
