Week four of the Pigskin Picks and the Football Contest has come and gone and is in the record books. Contestants in both contests were blown away by the Saints losing to the Falcons. The other NFL game that seemed to stump many opponents was the San Diego Chargers and Seattle Seahawks game. The Chargers fell late in the game by a touchdown. Most contestants thought the Chargers would walk away with that game.

In the Football Contest, Donald Sam won overall in week four with a grade of 12-2. Meghan Johnson and Joshua LaHaye tied out for second place. The two contestants had to go to the second tie breaker in order to crown a runner-up. Johnson missed the exact score of the Mamou and Pine Prairie game by just a point.

In the Pigskin Picks, Bruce Campbell notched a few games upward and managed to tie first-place contestant, Jennifer Allison. Campbell went 9-1 on the weekend with his only blemish being the Texans’ loss to the Cowboys. Michael Bordelon put up an 8-2 mark in week four. David Ortego, Heather Bogard and Richard Guillory each put up grades of 7-3 in week four.

Week five begins tonight with Mamou hosting Sacred Heart. That game will test the minds of the Pigskin Picks Contestants. The Football Contest will begin tomorrow night for contestants. Several games will test the wits of all who participate.
